Umbrella Paint Workshop | June 28th 4-6:30 pm
Description
This is a two and a half hour class offered on:
- In Person or Live on Zoom: Sunday, June 28th from 4-6:30 PM EST
This class is just like the other classes, but with a focus on color theory. By using a controlled palette, with primary colors and white, you will learn the basics of color mixing, tinting and shading.
The class will start with an ice-breaker and then Jenna will then lead the class step by step through painting basics, sketching out the composition, observing light and dark values, and applying color with a controlled palette. The medium is gouache on watercolor paper, sizing 8 x 10 inches.
The goal of this class is to provide a safe, welcoming environment to explore the creative genius that everyone has inside of them. Instead of focusing on the outcome of the painting itself, the process will be emphasized. Creating is a means of letting go, loosening up, and enjoying the journey. All skill levels, beginner to advanced, are welcome.
IN PERSON: All supplies are provided at the studio
ONLINE: Supply list for online: gouache paint set, paint brushes, pencil, eraser, sketch paper, water cup, paper towel, and watercolor paper. You will receive a zoom link before the class. The class is LIVE, so mark your calendar!
Location: Jenna Alexander Studio, 73 San Marco Avenue.
Workshops are not refundable. If you cannot make the class, you can find someone to replace your spot.
