Get ready to get a little messy and a lot creative! In this hands-on drop-in workshop, young artists will explore gouache paint. We will be focusing on the fundamentals of painting from life by creating a stunning fruit still life.
What students will learn:
- Color Layering: How to blend oranges, yellows, and reds to make colors "pop."
- Light & Shadow: Using highlights and shading to make a flat circle look like a round, juicy orange.
- Texture Techniques: Using fingers and tools to create soft gradients and the "pitted" texture of citrus skin.
- The Basics of Still Life: How to look at real objects and translate them onto paper.
